SPE Bergen newsletter

The SPE Bergen Section invites you to submit an abstract for a presentation only, at our annual One Day Seminar, on April 14th 2010 in Grieghallen, Bergen. The abstract should be a short summary of the planned presentation. In addition a short biography of the presenter should be included.

Deadline for submission is December 1st, 2009

Our industry continues to face new and major financial and technological challenges all the time. Increasing the recovery from mature fields and small satellites, extending existing infrastructure, and the replacement of reserves through increased exploration, are some important issues of current interest. The much talked about and debated engagement in the Arctic region can be expected to be very demanding, environmentally, politically and technically.

We welcome abstracts on emerging, proven, and unproven technology; best practices and case studies relating to the session themes listed below. The technical program is not necessarily limited to these topics and we invite you to submit any presentation that has relevance to the upstream industry and the understanding of the subsurface.

Submitted abstracts may address, but are not necessarily limited to, the following session themes:

  • Field development
  • Drilling & Well
  • Reservoir Engineering
  • Geoscience
  • Production Engineering
  • HSE, HR & Work Processes
  • New Energy and Unconventional Resources

Best regards,

SPE Bergen section
