SPE Moscow Students News

To all of us from time to time it seems that the world is too cruel. And to get rid of this feeling, we have to try to do good deeds.

That is why Gubkin Russian State University SPE Chapter decided to create a project to help one of the children's rehabilitation centers in order to motivate children to study, to show them how the world outside is beautiful.

In Suvorov, the city of Tula region turned out to be the center, needing assistance the most. The children in the center are from 3 to 14 years old from disadvantaged families or boarding schools, and and children, formerly prosecuted for violence, or neglected children.

After careful preparation, together with volunteers "Reliable friend" more than a dozen trips to the center have been organized, including workshops and presentations aimed at socialization and identification of the individual abilities of children. One of these trips was devoted to the Italian culture. On that day, children were able to learn a few foreign words, learn interesting facts about the country's culture and, of course, get acquainted with the Italian cuisine. Especially memorable was trip in May, during which kids felt as artists and learned to draw using the automobiles as a canvas.

On the 26th of March 2016 another trip to the centre will be made.

As gifts activists regularly bring books, clothes and sweets. Unfortunately, this institution still exists a need for children's clothes and shoes. But we will try our utmost to support them. And we are always happy to get any help besides the walls of our University! The president of Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter Alexey Vikhrov This email address is being protected from spambots. However, the activities of our social commission of a chapter does not end and will soon be active work aimed at supporting another children's institution, TB prophylactic center for minors.

In the words of Leo Tolstoy: "To believe in goodness, you have to start doing it".
