Distinguished Programme News

The SPE Distinguished Lecturer Programme is a flagship programme aimed at bringing leading edge technology and practices to every SPE section in the world. At the ATCE in Amsterdam in 2014 selection of DLs for 2015-2016 took place. John Gallivan, member of DLC for Russia and Caspian, participated in selection of Distinguished Lecturers for the discipline of RDD. The call for potential DLs for 2016-2017 went out in late 2014 and a total of 86 potential DLs were nominated by end March 2015. These were reviewed during April 2015. A meeting/teleconference was held at the SPE office in Houston in May to select around 40 interim candidates who will be invited to present a 30’ version of their DL to members of the DLC around the time of ATCE in Houston, Fall 2015. After this, final selection of DLs for 2016-2017 will be made.

You can find more information about the DL programme on SPE website http://spe.org/dl/.
